Finished

Yippee! I'm done - it feels so good one big thing I can cross off my list. Now the other 30,000 words can be done at a slightly more regular pace - like after Christmas is over! I've written 12,000 words since Monday. I may have slacked off a bit over Thanksgiving. It really didn't turn out to be as hard as I thought it would be to think of things to write, it was more difficult to just do it instead of watching TV or knitting or cleaning the house (top priority I assure you). Now it's on to the rest of the list - I'm having at least 10 people from my knitting meetup on Tuesday and should probably put up some Christmas decorations and such and clean up all the shoes by the door and maybe the piles or yarn around the house (wouldn't want anyone to walk off with part of my stash).
PS-if anyone can tell me what's wrong with the code in my sidebar that makes the picture not show up feel free to share!

Tuesday

Okay so I have about 8000 more words to write by tomorrow if I want to finish Nanowrimo... we'll see if that happens. I'm starting to get a migraine so I'll probably still have 8000 words left to write tomorrow.
I have gotten a little Christmas shopping done - so that's a start. Not much knitting has been done lately.
We're also up to 10 people for the Christmas party for our meetup group...

Little or no progress

Here's the sparkly yarn that I bought. I started to make a purse with it. I think it looks nice and sparkly. The yarn is a lot more burgundy in real life than it looks in the picture.

I worked a little more on Christmas projects.

My Nanowrimo work count is now about 30,100 -I'm still behind where I wanted to be but if I write 2000 words per day until the end of the month I should be write on target! Getting 8,000 words done per weekend does help get caught up but it would be better if I did my 2,000 words per day!

well...

I'm still behind on the book I worked on it on Monday and am about to a little over 22,000 but no work done on Tuesday (I mean it was the Gilmore Girls getting back together how could I not be too excited to work?) and yesterday being the party animal I am I went to bed at 8:30 mind you when I got home from work I took a nap from 4:30-6 oops. I did manage to watch 2 episodes of little house on the prairie while I was awake. I haven't done any knitting since Sunday I'm certain the cold weather will encourage me. It snowed yesterday.

Monday

I do so well - I bought these needles and some Paton's Glitterspun this weekend, my only knitting purchases for almost 2 whole weeks. And I only spent about $5. The needles are Crystallite Size 15 which I didn't have size 15 so I thought I should get some. I was thinking about using the glitterspun to make some sort of a little clutch, maybe one like the margaret nicole ones but sparkly instead : )

I also got about another 8,000 words done on my book which puts me at 20,500 which is still behind but definetely moving in the right direction.

I also completed christmas project number 2 and started number 3.

Veteran's Day

Here's a field of Poppies (pic stolen from Sarah). We should all remember a veteran or 2 or 2000 today.

A little behind

Okay so I should have 14,000 words already but instead I have 10,270. oops. I don't think I'll catch up any tonight Gilmore Girls is new. I think the book is going pretty well so far, I'm kind of writing in the middle now - I'm going to have to go back and write more setup in the beginning.

Monday

Okay so I didn't write anything in my book all weekend - oops.. .I am 4,000 words behind or I can write 6,000 words tonight - we'll see how that goes... must make the goal. It's hard to remember to do - especially over the weekend. Maybe I can do a few thousand extra over the course of this week since I seem to forget to write over the weekend!

Happy Friday

So I packed up pretty much every knitting utensil I own to bring home this weekend. I am going to help someone my mom knows with her sweater - she's having trouble with the neck and I didn't know what I would need so I packed everything. I was thinking maybe she needs DPNs so I packed all those because I don't know what gauge she's knitting at - I also packed the straight needles I don't know why - most sweaters don't cause a straight needle emergency. I also brought my Patternworks catalogue to show her and my Vogue book of knitting - it's a great reference and three projects I am working on... that may be too many I have socks, a christmas project, and branching out from knitty.com so hopefully that will keep me busy for the weekend.

NaWriNoMo

So I signed up yesterday to participate. I need to write an entire novel in the month of November. Should be interesting. You need to finish 50,000 words by November 30th. I decided to ressurect a story I had started before since I started a day late. So I have about 3700 words so I am a little behind to sticking to the 2000 words a day goal most people have since no one will probably be writing on Thanksgiving we'll see how this goes : )

Wednesday

Last night was knitting meetup and I did about 20 more rows on one of my christmas projects so that was good progress.
It's so nice to have a group of people to get together with and knit and chat and complain about work with : )
I plugged in my camera batteries and hopefully they will be charged again tomorrow so I can have a picture of some knitting until then here's Jonah -celebrating a White Sox victory...
