Socks that Rock

It was way too warm last night to work more than 3 rows on the Clapotis and I decided why not cast on some socks. So I got out my Socks that Rock and my size 1 needles and cast on for some socks. The colorway is Ruby Slippers.

I knit 12 rows of k2p2 ribbing and stopped because I'm not a big fan of doing ribbing and was going to stop and just knit the rest of the way down but is an inch of ribbing enough to hold the socks up? I think it should be but I don't want the rest of the sock to the ankle to be baggy.
